I am a lying liar…well when it comes to my age anyway. Whenever anyone refers to me by my real age, my inner monologue goes something like this…LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA…OHHHH look a butterfly (my inner monologue also apparently has ADD).

I started telling people I was 25 as a joke around the time I hit 29. However, now that I’ve been with my husband almost 10 years and married for nearly 7, I’ve had to fess up since they started to do the math and figured either he was a lecherous old man (at the ripe old age of 35) or I was so full of b.s my eyes are brown. I’ve always figured that having kids would vault me into aging a la faces of meth, however it has been more like the Picture of Dorian Grey. Either somewhere there is a painting of me hidden in a closet that shows my sleep deprived visage as it truly exists or I use some awesome skin care products.

Since our house is the land that storage space forgot, I think the product may have something to do with it. I’ve been using the Sweetsation Therapy line for about a year now. Specifically, the Aqua*Tica Organic Botanical Night Cream  and the Q*Lumiere Organic Day Creme with Cucumber and Co Q10.

Their line is safe for pregnancy and nursing and so far I’ve loved everything that I’ve tried. The Day cream has an fresh cucumber scent and it almost feels like my skin drinks it in first thing in the morning. With a little bit of coffee and some of the Day Creme, I find that I can almost pass myself off as a human versus the sleep deprived Zombie that I feel like (I will be so happy when the baby is not nursing at 4am).  The Night Cream smells like lavender and is very soothing. My nursing daughter has very sensitive skin and neither of these trigger her allergies and they are not greasy at all while being super hydrating on my typically very dry skin. I started using the night cream right before I gave birth and the day one shortly after and I was very pleased on how quickly my pregnancy melasma cleared up considering I was swimming outdoors for several hours a day.

I love that their products have a long list of ingredients that aren’t included, like Parabens, Sulfates, and Artifical Fragrance but include some of my favorite go to ingredients like Sea Buckthorn Oil, Evening Primrose,Coco Butter, and Coconut Oil (to name a few).

I just started trying the Lumi*Essence Advanced Brightening Repair Treatment and thus far have started seeing rapid results on par with M2 skin refinish, without all the added chemicals. If you are going to try one of their products to start with, I highly recommend the Day Creme, especially in the summer, it feels that great!
